Great directions to maximize your
recreation time!
On the ‘Town Directory, Penticton Map’, we are in the
upper right quadrant (A6) - "to Spiller Road, Greyback Mountain and
Sanitary Landfill". On the ‘Discover Naramata”
map we are in the upper A4 quadrant. · From the corner of Eckhardt
and Government Roads in Penticton, proceed up Haven Hill that turns into
Johnson Road at the "Rocky Store". Bear right. Continue on Johnson until it turns into Upper Bench Road. · At the next intersection turn right onto McMillan Ave (a horse
stable is on your right at the corner and Spiller's Corner Fruit
stand/B&B/Estate Winery is on your left). · The next intersection is
close, just past “Township 7 Winery”. At the corner on your left is a low-
roofed red barn for horses and Canada Post rural mailboxes on your right. Keep to your
right and go uphill on the road pointing to the
Sanitary Landfill (Reservoir Road). DO NOT go
north or turn left towards Naramata - that's the winery route,
for another time! · Reservoir Road climbs sharply
then steadily for about 1.8 km to Spiller Road. Ignore the landfill road at
the top of the switchbacks! continuing straight ahead uphill for a short
distance to the "T" intersection with Spiller. Turn left. A blue B&B sign is on a tree to the
left of the cattle guard. · (If you go across a cattle
guard you must turn around. Go back across the cattle guard and turn immediately right onto Spiller) · Continue 1.5 km on Spiller to
1185. Look left for the road sign ‘Vanilla
Tree House’ It has reflective paint for dark arrivals + the streetlight is above
it. · Enter the driveway by the
B&B sign. Park your car in the driveway and come to our avocado green front door thru the
courtyard. Check-in
time,
normally between 4:30 & 5:30 pm, can be pre-arranged to suit your travel
